Slot 6 in the November Crozworld prompts me to say it is high time Crozworld setters are reminded grids containing three consecutive unchecked letters are far from best practice and should be avoided. 21 down is particularly egregious. The cryptics I am most familiar with The Times, Everyman (Observer) and Guardian seem to avoid them. With thousands of possible grids to choose from does a setter need to use 'dodgy' ones?
